Fall and Winter fishing Seasons : This is the season forFall chinook salmon or King Salmon fishing on the Columbia
River and other popular destinations on the Oregon
Coast including Tillamook Bay, Newport - Yaquina river, Lincoln City -
Siletz River and Nehalem River and Bay. Our fall Salmon fishing season runs from September to early December. Fall is also the best time to catch Dungeness Crab in
the many excellent crabbing bays on the Oregon Coast. Coho Salmon fishing is great in the fall on the Columbia River and coastal rivers. October is the
kick off of our very popular keeper sturgeon season in the downtown Portland area.
Keeper. sturgeon fishing is best during the fall to early Spring Months
in the Portland area. While it is legal on open days to keep fish we welcome and encourage catch and release anglers.

Fishing trips - winter and early spring season: winter and spring months are the best time to fish for keeper
sturgeon on the Columbia and Willamette rivers. Sturgeon fishing always
provides lots of action and some great eating fillets too with a normal
day's catch around 20 to 40 sturgeon caught. This is also the time the
steelhead fishing gets good. Steelhead fishing from January to April on
rivers in the Portland area and on the North coastal rivers. Spring
Chinook Salmon fishing in the Columbia River and Willamette River begins
in late February and continue to run until June with the. bulk of the
action happening mid March to early May. We fish for spring king salmon
in the downtown Portland area from March to mid May. Spring Chinook or
Springer's as well call them are by far the best eating salmon in the
world. Most years we offer a combo keeper sturgeon and spring salmon trip. .

Fishing trips in the late spring and summer months: Giant Columbia River Oversized Sturgeon Fishing and shad
fishing is one of our more popular trips this time of year. We target
sturgeon ranging in size from 5 to 13 feet in length weighing in excess
of 1000 lbs, catching several each day. In May and June we begin the
giant sturgeon trips by catching the bait - shad from 1-5 lbs which is
almost as much fun as the big
fish. We offer these trips from late April to October. The Giant or Oversized white sturgeon trips are very popular - early booking is strongly recommended.
June and July offer some great salmon fishing for Columbia River summer chinook salmon, some of the biggest, brightest and most
aggressive salmon found anywhere. The Summer Chinook salmon season
this year is a full 6 weeks long and with expanding numbers of fish this
is going to be a favorite for years to come. Great big king salmon on
the Columbia when the weather is nice. Summer Steelhead fishing in July and August on the Columbia river. August is the start of our fall salmon runs beginning with
Nehalem Bay in July and Buoy 10 salmon at the
mouth of the Columbia in Astoria in August. Buoy 10 is the estuary where
the Columbia River meets the Pacific ocean
and is famous for fantastic salmon fishing. This years fall
king salmon run is predicted to be a very good one. Summer is also the time for Columbia River Walleye.
